After School programs will begin on Monday, January 5th, 2009.

Our language classes offer a continuum of immersion language learning for children in kindergarten through elementary school. Classes meet once a week for 2 hours. Class size ranges between 4 -12 children. All teachers are well qualified, experienced bilingual instructors.

In our beginning language classes, our objective is to introduce language through a multi-sensory approach using creative arts, language arts, singing, and games. As with learning a first language, emphasis is placed on listening comprehension and speaking. We provide a relaxed and fun environment. Using immersion, language is learned in a natural, unpressured way. Reading and writing is integrated into the curriculum as children progress through the elementary grades as a compliment to continued work with listening and speaking skills.

For our High Fluency Academic French class the focus shifts to learning to read and write in French using programs developed to teach French literacy to school-age children. Children really enjoy these methods as the content is geared to their sensibilities, humor and capabilities. The methods integrate reading and writing with verbal expression in an innovative, incremental manner. Instructors supplement the coursework with games that reinforce the material and encourage speaking.
